For sellers of: control and isolation valves, electric/pneumatic actuators, steam traps, condensate systems, pressure/temperature instruments, gauges, calibration and repair services. A coal-fired steam station and a new combined-cycle plant require different product campaigns and different buying centers.

Power sellers should start with fuel, generating technology, and project phase, not a list of 50 generic utility company names. Below are ten named plant or project research entries drawn from public operator, regulator and EIA references. They are not ranked deals, not confirmed active bids and not purchase-order forecasts.

Three reasons to revisit accounts in October 2026

Entergy Orange County Advanced Power Station: Entergy announced October 14, 2026 that its 1,215 MW plant entered service. For qualified suppliers, the sales question is no longer only who built it. It is who now owns the spare-parts lists, valve service, maintenance standards and commissioning-to-operations handoff. An in-service milestone is not proof of an available order. NRG Cedar Bayou 5: NRG reported development work and a financing arrangement for Cedar Bayou 5. Texas air-permit filings list a Cedar Bayou 5 electric generating unit. Suppliers should identify whether the product belongs to EPC supply, construction/commissioning or existing Cedar Bayou operations. They do not necessarily share a purchase path. Constellation Freestone: Constellation announced a power supply and adjacent infrastructure arrangement involving the Freestone Energy Center and CyrusOne in February 2026. Treat the station, electrical interconnection and adjacent data center as separate buyer groups. Ten power-plant and project leads with a practical product entry

Use the public source for each account to validate the facility and project phase. EIA IDs in ExecGraph are useful research keys but should be checked against the latest EIA-860M generator inventory. Do not equate an EIA identifier with a verified purchasing department.

Constellation completed its acquisition of Calpine on January 7, 2026. That does not automatically replace every Calpine plant operating entity or purchase agreement, but it changes whom you must verify at the fleet level. For an established plant, the first three may sit on site while sourcing is centralized. For a new build, the EPC may buy the package. If a role is unverified, label it an open buying-center slot; do not assign a random corporate title and call the chart complete.

For a valve distributor: “Which pressure-control or isolation valves drive repeat maintenance or delayed starts? Is the next repair buy site-directed or under a fleet agreement? Which OEM and actuator standards constrain alternatives?”

For a steam vendor: “Who owns HRSG trap/condensate performance? Is there an existing steam trap register? Can we offer a documented, safe system survey before recommending replacement components?”

For an instrument vendor: “Which pressure, temperature and level tags create the highest inspection or calibration workload? Does the I&C group control approved alternatives, and which subcontractors perform the work?”
