ConfirmedIn service by year-end 2027

SEC-filed in-service dates; not a turnaround.

Marathon Petroleum's third-quarter 2026 results list a 90,000 barrel per day distillate hydrotreater at Galveston Bay and feedstock optimization at Garyville, adding 30,000 barrels per day of crude throughput and 10,000 barrels per day of export premium gasoline flexibility, all expected in service by year-end 2027. What the filing states

The SEC-filed release's strategic update table gives year-end 2027 in-service timing for both sites. On the November 3 call management said the Gulf Coast investments would enter service by year-end 2027.

The filing does not say whether tie-in requires a unit outage, and it names no turnaround.

Why a project appears on a turnaround calendar

Commissioning, instrumentation and mechanical completion in 2027 draw on the same supplier base as turnarounds, and Marathon's separate statement that 2027 is a lighter turnaround year makes these projects the clearest 2027 Gulf Coast work the company has disclosed.
