The 2019 and 2022 work this projection rests on

Industrial Info reported both Crude 10 trains, Delayed Coker 205 and Platformer 12 under planned maintenance from October 21, 2019 for six to eight weeks, and said the full unit was not expected to be taken fully down again for five years.

In October 2022 Industrial Info reported 21-day Crude 10 A and 10 B turnarounds and eight weeks of planned maintenance on FCCU 25, HF Alkylation 27 and Gasoline Desulfurizer 55.

What Marathon has said

Marathon management said 2027 looks like a lighter turnaround year than 2026 and that no 2026 turnarounds were deferred. The company's third-quarter release lists Garyville feedstock projects expected in service by year-end 2027; it does not say whether tie-in requires an outage.

Together these cut against a large Garyville event in 2027 without ruling out conversion-unit work.
